Launched in October 2023, Le Fonds (The Fund) aims to provide a sustainable source of funding for Francophone cultures in Louisiana. Its broader mission is to support minority cultures in the United States, especially for cultural and language-based projects.
Application dates:
Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis via the application form available on our website. Applicants will be notified of the decision within two weeks of their application.
Funding priorities:
Any project that promotes French, Creole, and Indigenous languages and cultures in the United States.
Funding amounts:
Ranging from $500 to $5,000 depending on the scope and needs of the project.

FULBRIGHT

Apply by December 20.
This program, offered in partnership with Fulbright France and the New Orleans Foundation for Francophone Cultures, allows two Fulbright France laureates to travel to Louisiana each year for a short research stay (one week).

One week between September 2025 and June 2026.

PEDAGOGICAL TRAINING FOR FRENCH TEACHERS

The program is specifically designed for teachers of French residing who want to hone their pedagogical skills by following a two-week training session at CAVILAM Vichy (France).

LE LAB
ACCÉLÉRATEUR CULTUREL

Our laureates have raised a total of $120,000 since 2022 ($10 000 per project on average)

The Lab is a cultural accelerator program aimed at supporting large-scale projects (creation of a company or a nonprofit, presentation of an exhibition, book publishing, film production, etc.) – with a focus on projects around French or other heritage languages.
Our laureates receive one-on-one advice, financial support, guidance in finding additional funding, and access to professional networks and mentorship in their target sector(s).

To be determined depending on the scope and needs of the project.

LE FORUM ÉCONOMIQUE
Jobs fair
Business summit

Next edition: April 2025
Organized in partnership with the French Embassy, the Government of Quebec, and Tulane University, our Forum Économique jobs fairs and business summit is organized each year in New Orleans. This event brings together dozens of companies from French-speaking countries or local businesses in need of French-speaking workers.
The last edition of the Forum brought together 500 participants (mainly high school and college students) and approximately 40 organizations.
